Forest School is an inspirational process, that offers all learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees.
Forest School is a specialised learning approach that sits within and compliments the wider context of outdoor and woodland education.
At Stoke Prior First School, we have amazing outdoor spaces that include our very own wilderness area at the edge of our school field.
Our Reception and Year 1 classes take part in weekly Forest School sessions throughout the whole year led by fully trained staff. Our older children also take part in sessions at different points in the year. This means that every child in the school has access to all the benefits of learning outside the classroom.
