Children develop the skills of listening, playing, composing and performing through singing and with the aid of a wide variety of unpitched instruments. In Year Three, children learn to play the recorder from a musical score. Both Year Three and Year Four have access to peripatetic violin lessons. All Year Four children learn to play the fife and then flute. Year Four pupils also participate in the 'Big Sing' joining with other schools to perform songs they have learnt. As a school, we thoroughly enjoy taking an active part in our local church Harvest, Christingle and Easter Services. Christmas Plays are always looked forward to and very entertaining.
