Health Education is closely related to the development of the whole child, and the provision of a secure environment in which children can gain confidence, grow and learn. They are encouraged to develop positive attitudes and values toward health, other people’s needs, emotions and feelings in accordance with the ethos of the school. We follow ‘Golden Rules’ for the classroom and playground.
SEX AND RELATIONSHIPS EDUCATION
Through our Science topics the children are taught that all animals produce babies, which develop and grow into adults. This teaching is part of our science curriculum and all children must participate in these lessons.
The school is currently updating the curriculum offer for PSHE ahead of new requirements from the Department for Education which come in to effect in September 2020. The school updated offer will be published at this time.
