What is the School Association?
The School Association (also referred to as the PTA) is a registered charity (Reg. 1110048) set up and run by parents of children who attend Stoke Prior First School. All work and events are conducted in their spare time on a voluntary basis.
The Association organise and run fundraising events throughout the school year. The sole aim is to support the school in improving the facilities and resources for the benefit of the school, with our children at the heart of it all. This is done with Mr.Satchwell and the teachers who lead as to where the extra funding would be of most benefit.
What is the money used for?
The PTA has given the school funds to help provide resources and equipment the school would otherwise have to finance from existing budgets, or do without.
Some of our recent contributions have been:
How can you help?
There are many ways you can help us, from attending our meetings, helping us run stalls and events, to doing your online shopping!
Dates of our meetings are sent out through the schools text alert system and through the regular PTA newsletters
We are always keen to have other parents join us as we all want our children to have the best support through their school years with as many opportunities as possible.
If you can't spare the time to join us regularly, but want to volunteer some time please ask at reception and someone from the Association will contact you.
You can also support the school by doing your online shopping through the Easyfundraising website (see link below) or the App available in the Google Playstore and Apple AppStore.
Simply browse and shop on lots of retail sites including Amazon, Argos and many more. When you buy your items, the retailer contributes to our charity... It really is money nothing to provide our children with extra equipment and experiences!!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
