Our Library has had a make-over!!!
Mr Satchwell, Mrs Anderson and Mrs Holloway
planned to revamp our children's library and over half term, the magic happened.
New shelving, seating, greenery and painting have created
a little haven for our children to visit.
We have also been overwhelmed with the response from families to our
Amazon Wish List Appeal, a way of donating new books to the library.
We have such an affection for books and reading that this has touched our hearts.
Mr Satchwell was the first to sit in the special " Story Tellers" chair,
which was "sold out" with attentive listeners,
and will be a regular event on a Monday lunchtime.
Our School Association have also provided funds, again donated through our families generosity, which have provided an outdoor library which children can also access
during lunch time along with a snuggly blanket for the cooler months.
The library continues to be open to all pupils on Wednesday lunchtime too
with the support of Mrs Anderson, Mrs Vipond and a team of Year 3 helpers.
This is proving so popular with the children which is fantastic to see and you may well have noticed books from the library coming home in their book-bags.
Each borrowed book will have been assigned to your child
so that we can keep a track of them.
When your child has finished reading them,
please return so they can go back on the shelf.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us in this appeal,
which has made such a difference to visiting the library.
It is wonderful to see so many children wanting to use the books in our library!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
