School Association (PTA)
Welcome to our School Association
School Association's AGM Report 12.9.2024 from the Co-Chairs , Layla Ackrill & Claire Edwards.
What is the School Association?
The School Association (also referred to as the PTA) is a registered charity (Reg. 1110048) set up and run by parents of children who attend Stoke Prior First School. All work and events are conducted in their spare time on a voluntary basis.
The Association organises and runs fundraising events throughout the school year. The sole aim is to support the school in improving the facilities and resources for the benefit of the school, with our children at the heart of it all. This is done with Mrs Paisley and the teachers who lead as to where the extra funding would be of most benefit.
We can never have too many helpers and support and suggestions for events and activities are always welcome. If you are blue to support in any way, please contact the PTA via the school office.
What is the money used for?
The PTA has given the school funds to help provide resources and equipment the school would otherwise have to finance from existing budgets, or do without.
Previous contributions have been:
- £4000 for the Wilderness area / Forest School Cabin.
- £1500 to help improve the Class R outdoor area.
- £550 for reading books.
- £100 given to the School Council for an “improvement project” decided by the children.
- £975 for new books for the school library.
- £6000 towards IT investment including purchase of Ipads and other IT facilities.
We had a very cheeky chicken visit our school, out of hours, to find out where the best places are for an Easter Egg hunt. Take a sneaky peak of what they got up to!!!
Thank you to our PTA for organising another special event for all of our pupils and for the special Easter gift that they all received. Happy Easter everyone.
Please check out the gallery for photos of our Big Bounce event. We are overwhelmed with how much you have raised with your donations.

With the help of our fantastic School Association, Christmas has arrived early! Today we had a special visitor with his helpers who delivered some early Christmas Presents in school. Thank you also for families support in donating items for the Tombola which will be at our Christmas Fayre on Friday 15th December.
A huge thank you from our School Association, who were blown away by the amazing spooky spoons the children brought into school after half term. Every single one showed such creativity and were all put on display at the front entrance. It was a very difficult decision to choose 3 winners, who were delighted to be chosen. Once again, thank you for your support in this creative fundraiser.
